Plan the perfect partaaay!

Getting your girlfriends together is never simple. Here are some ways to make it go a little more smoothly.

  • Create a Routine: To help bring everyone together, set a schedule for when you’ll get together and where. It can be once a week or once a month, but plan the dates and stick to the schedule. Dinner, book clubs, knitting get-togethers, and movie nights are all great excuses to get the girls together.
  • Use Evite.com to Send an Online Invitation: Once you’ve arranged a schedule, send out one of Evite.com’s online invitations to all participants so they have a reminder on their calendars. Evite’s online invitations are a convenient and creative way to invite your friends over—saving time, money, and paper.
  • Create an Oasis: Put away the kids’ toys, newspapers, magazines, and little projects so your guests won’t be easily distracted. Make sure there’s plenty of comfy seating for the gals to gather ‘round.
  • Tie In TV: To meet up regularly, tie your get-togethers to TV shows that all of your friends enjoy. For example, gather the ladies every Wednesday at 10 p.m. EST/9 p.m. CDT to watch NBC’s Lipstick Jungle.
  • You’re Set with Snacks: Always have healthful snacks on hand, such as Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet Popping Corn™, which is a great alternative to chips or other salty snacks. Look for the newest varieties and flavors, such as Orville Redenbacher’s Natural Lime & Salt.
  • Appropriate Attire: Be sure to specify the attire for your Girls Night In party. If you are having the ladies over for lounging, be sure to let them know that comfy clothes are appropriate.
  • Rotate Responsibilities: Be sure to let everyone in your group take turns being the organizer—rotate planning, venue, and the menu so no one feels overwhelmed.
  • No Boys Allowed: When it’s girls’ night, don’t bring your significant other or the kids. Remember, it’s not that you don’t love them, but would he want you to come to a guys’ night? Be completely dedicated to your girls tonight—you can take one night off!
  • Keep It Small: Hosting a party can be stressful, so keep things manageable by making your party an intimate affair and inviting only four or five friends.
  • Try Something New: If you’ve already done a movie night, think of new types of party activities, such as tarot cards or a clothes-trading party. Check local businesses (think masseuse) to see if they’ll come to you!
